Welcome to Villa Meadows
Villa Meadows at Teetering Rocks Golf Course is an exclusive community in Kansas City, offering semi-customizable home plans. Residents also have the convenience of living near major grocers, gas stations, restaurants, shopping, entertainment, parks, and major Kansas City metropolitan highways.

Raytown Quality Schools are about education in every sense of the word. Academically and socially, the schools challenge students to live up to the promise of their expectations and provide the programs they need to succeed.

The 2003-2004 school year marked a special time for the Raytown C-2 School District as it celebrated its 100th Anniversary. In 1903, eight independent elementary schools consolidated in order to provide the best education for their community. Now, one hundred years later, the district has embarked on its next century of quality education.

The district has a strong tradition of community support. Residents have come to "expect the exceptional" in student and teacher performance as well as the wide range of academic programs and extracurricular activities.

Although the first priority is the education of school-age children, the district has programs that reflect the community’s commitment to education at any age. From early childhood education to adult education, Raytown Schools strive to make learning an inviting and rewarding experience for everyone.

In November of 2000, patrons passed a $47 million bond issue. With this commitment, the district was able to install geothermal heating and cooling systems and state-of-the-art computer technology throughout the district. Currently, district buildings are being heated and cooled for less money than it cost to simply heat them before. Raytown Schools also has one of the largest and fastest computer networks of any school in the metropolitan area. The district was able to stretch bond issue dollars to accomplish several other needed projects.

Eighty-nine percent of the 2003 graduates indicated they were going to college or a business/technical school. The schools that alumni are attending include the state schools in Missouri, Boston College, Harvard University, Chicago University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Kansas University, Kansas State and many more.

Recognizing that students possess individual needs, Raytown Quality Schools offer specialized programs designed to serve their needs. The Herndon Career Center prepares students for immediate employment after graduation or a head start on college hours. Northwood School serves students with multiple handicaps from Raytown and 13 other districts. Raytown Alternative School ensures students struggling with the rigors of conventional classroom situations are given another way to succeed. Complete special education services are available to students requiring these programs with many mainstreamed into regular classes.

Recently, the district has committed more than $1 million in additional support initiatives.

Raytown Quality Schools does more than set exceptional expectations. They exceed them. It is seen in the success of students. It is seen in the quality of teachers and administrators. It is experienced through the ongoing collaboration of educators, parents and others who live and work in the district's boundaries.

A sense of community creates a welcoming and safe environment, a small-town feel within a predominantly suburban area. Those who have attended Raytown Quality Schools, or sent their children to the schools, appreciate the district and often stay, becoming lifelong residents.
